Frost Control & Cherry Drying

Helispecs is available for all Frost control measures; this requires the helicopter to fly slowly up and down the crop or vineyard pushing the warmer air down to keep the lower area of air moving and from freezing. A turbine engine helicopter has heat leaving the exhaust up around 700 degrees which also warms the air as it is pushed down by the blades of the helicopter. We can also supply frost lights that lets our pilots know where the coldest parts of the crop are. Please do not hesitate to contact us for more information on these services.

We are also available for drying cherries after rain. The helicopter can remove the water from the cherries quickly and efficiently to avoid splitting and the potential loss of the crop.
